Kids & Families

We invite all children ages 2 ½ years old to 4 (not yet in school) to come read with us at our Tuesday Tales Storytime!  This Storytime will be an introduction to sitting and listening to books- fiction and non-fiction.  We will sing songs and rhymes.  We will learn alphabet letters, colors and numbers.    We will do crafts with beginning coloring, cutting and gluing skills.   Explore with play-doh, paint and sensory bins.  The best part is spending time playing with friends!

Baby Storytime is a "lap-sit" program that allows caregivers to come with their 0-2 ½ year old babies.  We will read simple board books together.   The librarian will lead caregivers in interactive songs and finger plays to encourage language development and build cognitive skills.  Babies will bond with their caregiver through songs, rhymes and reading board books together.   Babies will have time to play with toys and interact with new people at a new place.  It is a great opportunity for grown-ups to find some friends too!
