Mission and Values
Mission- The mission of the library is to provide quality materials and services which fulfill educational, informational, cultural and recreational needs of the entire community.
Values: Diversity
The library is to reflect the community and its values through inclusivity.
Rather than excluding holidays, traditions and celebrations, the library will make efforts to represent the diversity of its users in a secular way.
The library may include secular attitudes, activities or symbols in its programming and displays. Secular features of holidays, celebrations and traditions can be included in the library.
“Secular” will be the descriptor of attitudes, activities, symbols, holidays, traditions and celebrations that do not represent religious or spiritual ideals or teachings.
Values: Early Literacy
The library fosters literacy development in children by creating an environment for learning. The library offers materials, programs, and resources to encourage literacy through reading, speaking, listening and play.
Values: Customer Service
The library meets the needs of the community by providing materials, resources, technology and trained staff to serve its patrons. The library utilizes the resources and services available with membership in the Outagamie Waupaca Library System.
Values: Community Involvement
The library participates in community events and builds relationships with community members. The library considers all requests to collaborate and decisions will be based on available library resources.
