About Us

Come visit your library!

There’s truly something for everyone at the library! Come explore the shelves full of books, movies, audiobooks, and CDs. Stop by to use the Wi-Fi (accessible from the parking lot 24/7) or a public computer. Chat with staff, pick up books on hold, read a spell in the reading loft, or just stop by to say hi!

With a library card, you have access to all 49 libraries in the Outagamie and Waupaca counties. Items from other libraries can be put on hold to be picked up at the Shiocton Library, or whatever location is most convenient. A library card also gives you access to the Wisconsin Digital Library Consortium via Libby, which is a collection of thousands of ebooks and audiobooks.

Other services we offer: one laptop available for check out and use at home for up to 2 weeks, The Appleton Post Crescent paper subscription on a tablet in the library, donated magazines and pamphlets that are free, and a free-will donation book sale.

If you need a library card or need to update your card, we can help! We do not charge late fines on items checked out at our library AND we have a check-out raffle where you can place a ticket to win a prize basket at no charge. So, what are you waiting for? Visit your library today!
