The Shiocton Public Library is in need of a creative, energetic person with excellent interpersonal skills for the position of Library Director. Under the supervision of the Library Board, the Library Director is responsible for the operations of the library and the development of its services program.
This is a permanent, part-time position with a flexible schedule totaling 29 hours a week. Starting wage is $18.00 with a pro-rated benefit package which includes vacation, personal/sick time, holiday pay and insurance. The position is also eligible for participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
Candidates must be eligible for Grade 3 Wisconsin Public Library Certification. This requires completion of 54 semester credits; half in the liberal arts and sciences at an accredited college, university, or technical school.
Four required library science courses must be completed within four years of hire and certification must be maintained by participating in continuing education. Previous public library experience and a history of community involvement are preferred.
